7. Activity as a Writer
His many years of research and the preparation of lectures on a variety of interests led him to write many books.
He considers that the Church and her theology work within historical reality, and in this way he has brought theology into dialogue with ongoing philosophical and religious currents (ancient and modern), and with modern science, and he helps people to give meaning to their lives with love, freedom and desire for what is good, healing their personality.
He has mainly cultivated systematic theology. He chooses subjects with which he illumines the Church’s whole tradition of the Ecumenical Councils, and he combines the given facts of biblical, patristic, dogmatic and ecclesiastical theology with reference to the various contemporary religious, philosophical, social and psychological trends.
This arduous work of research and discussion with various audiences resulted in the publication of many books in Greek, which cover the whole spectrum of systematic theology.
To be specific, he has published 126 books to date on various subjects.
The total number of books, reprints and articles in collective volumes, apart from miscellaneous articles, is 241.

At the invitation of the Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Archimandrite Ephraim, he spoke at gatherings of the monks on theological, neptic and more general ecclesiastical issues (2015-2019). These talks and discussions were published in a substantial book (924 pages) by the Holy Monastery, with the title Holy Knowledge, Inner Beauties.
In parallel with writing books he has also published articles in the daily and weekly press. He has written, and continues to write, articles in the Athenian press (To Vema, Eleftherotypia, Kathimerini, Ta Nea, Eleftheros Typos, Apogevmatini, Kosmos tou Ependyti), in the local press in Nafpaktos, on the internet, and also in the newspaper of the Metropolis of Nafpaktos and St Vlassios Ekklisiastiki Paremvasi (http://parembasis.gr), and his articles are reproduced in many other newspapers, periodicals and websites.
His articles constitute interventions in contemporary socio-political and ecclesiastical developments, and offer the Orthodox theological interpretation of events. They are also an expression of, and a testimony to, our Romaic Tradition, which possesses limitless dynamism and transformative power.
